Garmin Fishfinder Transducers
Your fishfinder is the brain, but the Garmin transducer is its eye below the boat. To fully leverage your unit’s performance and never miss a mark, you need the right probe. Whether you fish in estuaries or deep dropping, browse our range—from simple transom-mount models to high‑performance bronze thru‑hulls—fully compatible with CHIRP, ClearVü and SideVü technologies.
Which Garmin transducer is right for your boat?
Choosing a compatible transducer is essential for clean bottom readings and crisp fish targets. Here are the 4 key factors to check:
Mounting type: Transom‑mount transducers are the easiest to install, ideal for RIBs and outboard boats. Thru‑hull models (plastic, bronze or stainless steel) require drilling the hull but deliver top performance at speed—perfect for inboards. In‑hull options are also available and bond directly to the fiberglass.
Supported technologies: Traditional CHIRP is used to display classic fish arches. If your Garmin display supports it, pair a transducer with ClearVü (high‑detail down scanning) or SideVü (side scanning) to get near‑photo images of submerged structure.
Frequencies and depth: The shallower the water, the higher the frequency you want (e.g., 200 kHz or High CHIRP) to maximize detail. For offshore fishing over deep bottom, you’ll need lower frequencies (e.g., 50 kHz or Low CHIRP) to penetrate the water column.
Pin compatibility: Always check the ports on the back of your Garmin display. Transducers use specific connectors (typically 4‑pin, 8‑pin or 12‑pin). If the plug doesn’t match, in most cases you can resolve it with a simple Garmin adapter cable.
