Description
The Torqeedo Solar Charging Cable is designed to allow Torqeedo Travel and Ultralight batteries to be charged using third-party solar panels. It is designed for those who use onboard electrical systems and want to supplement a renewable energy source while at rest or at sea.
The cable allows connection to solar panels with power up to 160 W and a maximum open circuit voltage of 33 V , using a standard MC4 connection. This solution is useful for supporting battery charging when a shore power outlet or dedicated on-board system is not available.
It is recommended for use on tenders and small boats, at anchor or moored, where solar power can help keep the battery charged and reduce charging times from the mains. The cable is designed for easy integration with the Torqeedo system.
It can only be used with compatible Torqeedo batteries and within the specified power and voltage limits to ensure safety and correct operation.
