The IC-M410BB is a marine VHF in a Black Box configuration with CommandMic™, designed for helms where panel space is limited. All operations, including DSC functions, are managed directly from the CommandMic™ HM-195, while the RF unit can be installed out of sight.
The main unit can be installed up to 18.3 m (60 ft) from the CommandMic™, ensuring maximum installation flexibility. * Two optional OPC-1541 cables are required for 60 ft installation.
The IC-M410BB supports up to two CommandMic™ stations, providing full access to VHF and intercom functions from multiple locations on board, such as the cabin, tower, or secondary helm.
NMEA 2000™ connectivity enables plug-and-play communication with other onboard marine electronics, such as MFDs (Multi-Function Displays). The radio can share GNSS (GPS) position data, DSC calls and channel information, ensuring seamless integration with the vessel’s navigation system.
Active Noise Cancelling digitally removes background noise on both transmit and receive, ensuring clear, intelligible communications even in noisy marine environments, without needing to raise your voice at the microphone.
The integrated Class D DSC system allows immediate transmission of a digital emergency call via the DISTRESS key to the Coast Guard and nearby vessels. The DSC Watch function continuously monitors channel 70, enhancing safety underway.
The IC-M410BB incorporates a 15 W audio amplifier (13 W for the European version) for connecting an optional external SP-37 hailer speaker. The RX Hailer function lets you listen to radio traffic on deck or from the tower through the external speaker, and also generate foghorn signals.
