Description

REMOTE STEERING AND PILOT CONTROL Raymarine's Follow-On Tiller controller brings full power-assisted steering to remote and secondary helms, wherever they are onboard. Designed for both recreational yachts and commercial vessels, the Follow-On Tiller system is a simple control unit to add to Raymarine Evolution autopilot systems. A single button press engages Evolution's Power Steer mode, allowing captains to send precise steering commands to the helm, up to 35°. KEY FEATURES The intuitive design allows captains to make precise steering adjustments with a simple twist of the lever or dial. Brings precision, assisted control to remote locations and auxiliary steering stations. Sleek, dial-less, low-profile design fits virtually anywhere, including pilothouse chairs. Selectable proportional or rapid modes for turning or maneuvering. Simple SeaTalkng connectivity supports up to 4 remote tiller locations. Compatible with Evolution™ autopilot systems for powerboats. POWER STEER OPTIONS Follow-On Tiller controllers are available in 2 different models with slightly different modes of operation. Choose the Standby-Power Steer-Standby model (A80532) for applications where you want remote control without engaging or disengaging the autopilot. Tapping the activation button on the tiller controller engages the autopilot's Power Steer mode in standby mode and allows full control of the rudder movement. Tapping the activation button again switches the autopilot to Standby mode. Select the Auto Power Steer-Auto model (A80602) to make course adjustments under autopilot control. Tapping the activation button changes the autopilot state from automatic (engaged) mode to Power Steer mode, giving the captain manual control of the rudder movement. Tapping the activation button again returns the autopilot to Auto mode. TWO MODES OF OPERATION The controller supports both proportional (follow-up) and rapid (non-follow-up) modes for maximum flexibility. The controller is pre-equipped with a return spring to automatically return it to the 0° center position when released. The return spring can be removed if necessary. In Follow-Up mode, the rudder precisely follows the rudder. When the rudder is released or set to 0°, the rudder is selected for amidships. In Non-Follow-Up mode, the rudder remains at the set angle when the control unit is released or set to 0° and requires the operator to manually correct it on amidships.
