Description
The P79 adjustable in-hull depth transducer is ideal for fiberglass hulled boats looking for quick and easy installation, high-speed performance, or those wanting to minimize drag. The transducer installs inside the hull, transmitting and receiving echoes through the full fiberglass bottom without any hull protrusions. The P79 features an innovative flange that installs inside the hull using fast-curing marine-grade epoxy resin. No cutting or drilling is required. Using built-in markings, the flange is aligned to match the hull's bottom angle. Once installed and watertight, the flange is treated with non-toxic propylene glycol antifreeze and the active transducer cover is attached. Finally, the transducer cover is inserted and locked into place for a straight beam and maximum echo return. Note: As an in-hull transducer, there is no water temperature sensor on the P79 transducer. The P79 is designed to accommodate a wide range of hull angles from 2° to 22°. This transducer is intended for use on vessels with fiberglass hulls up to 5/8" thick. The P79 can also be used on aluminum hulls less than 0.125" (3.8 mm) thick.
