The fender with the best value for money
Majoni stands for tradition and innovation in fender manufacturing, and its Star Series has been the benchmark for boaters and owners for generations, delivering unbeatable quality and price.
These shared values are the basis of the partnership with HiNelson: combining Majoni’s longstanding reliability with the distinctive HiNelson branding. Made of soft PVC with a white body and blue caps, the high-grade material provides UV resistance, preventing discoloration and scuff marks on the topsides. All Majoni–HiNelson Star Series Fenders come with a double eye for attachment, ensuring full effectiveness in every onboard position, from the swim platform to the bow.
How to choose the right fender for your boat
Some boaters consider fender length a subjective choice. As a general rule: the better we protect the hull from impacts, the more peace of mind we have.
However, standard guidelines can help you select fenders.
The fender must cover the impact zone of the topsides. It’s essential to hang them from the stanchions or side cleats so they can be quickly brought back aboard while underway.
Do not overinflate the fender, as this reduces its shock-absorbing capacity and can have the opposite effect. Check fender pressure at least annually.
Fender height should be about 2/3 of the topside height.
Never use undersized fenders for your boat—they will be ineffective.
How many fenders should you use?
We recommend a minimum of 6 fenders, spaced roughly 2–2.5 meters apart. This provides full hull coverage. Some owners prefer closer spacing for added protection.
How to further protect your fenders
Use our fender socks. They offer two benefits: they protect the hull from stains caused by PVC aging and keep fenders clean. If they get dirty, the socks are easy to wash.
To clean and degrease the fenders themselves, use products designed for the purpose, such as Iosso Marina Cleaner.
