Intuitive user interface and backlit display

The IC-M423GE features Icom’s proven Marine Family User Interface, designed for straightforward, intuitive operation. The rotary selector and cursor keypad provide quick access to key functions.

The high‑contrast LCD with white backlighting and laser‑cut keypad blend seamlessly with modern helm designs, ensuring excellent readability in all lighting conditions.

Active noise cancelling

Integrated Active Noise Cancelling delivers outstanding performance, reducing background noise by up to 90% on receive and up to 30% on transmit. The result is clearer, more intelligible communication even in noisy marine environments.

Powerful 10 W audio, Public Address and Foghorn

The IC-M423GE includes a built‑in 10 W amplifier to drive an external PA speaker. The Public Address function allows voice announcements via the microphone, while the Foghorn function enables automatic fog signals through the external speaker.

Class D DSC built in

The Class D DSC system continuously monitors Channel 70 even while receiving other channels. DSC functions include: Distress, individual and group calls, All Ships, urgency, safety, position request and report, polling, and DSC test calls.

Integrated GPS receiver

The integrated GPS receiver displays position, date and time, and supplies the data required for DSC calls. The GPS source can be selected between the internal receiver or an external GPS.

GPS antenna included

The supplied GPS antenna ensures reliable satellite reception and is designed for easy integration into the onboard system.

Optional backlit CommandMic™

The optional COMMANDMIC™ HM-195GB/GW with white backlighting lets you control all IC-M423GE functions from a secondary station or tower. It can also be used as an intercom with the main unit.

AIS target call with MA-510TR / MA-500TR

When connected to an optional Class B AIS transponder MA-510TR or MA-500TR, the AIS Target Call function enables a direct individual DSC call to the AIS target without manually entering the MMSI.
